Minokawa Club is a private badminton club. This app is used by members to book sessions, manage payments, and stay up to date with club news and events. You can contact us at minokawaclub@gmail.com.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following personal data when you use this app:

  • Name and email address — used to identify you as a member and send booking confirmations
  • Profile picture — optionally uploaded by you
  • Session booking history — records of sessions you have booked or attended
  • Payment records — records of credit purchases and session payments (we do not store card details)
  • Skill level — used to match you to appropriate sessions
  • Event registration data — answers to any event-specific questions you complete

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data only to:

  • Manage your club membership and session bookings
  • Send you booking confirmations and session reminders by email
  • Process and track credit balance and payments
  • Allow club admins to manage attendance and session capacity

We do not sell, share, or use your data for marketing purposes.

4. Legal Basis

We process your data on the basis of legitimate interests (managing club membership and bookings) and contractual necessity (fulfilling session bookings you have made). Where you voluntarily provide additional information (e.g. a profile picture), we process it with your consent.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as you remain a member of Minokawa Club. Booking and payment history is kept for up to 2 years for accounting purposes. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7).

6. Who Has Access

Your data is accessible to Minokawa Club administrators for the purposes described above. The app is hosted on Base44, a UK-compliant application platform. No other third parties have access to your personal data.

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your account and associated data (you can also do this directly in your Profile page)
  • Objection — object to how we use your data
  • Portability — request your data in a portable format

8. Complaints

If you have concerns about how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
